Your wedding planner wants to know how you met your fiance’, how you knew they were the one, how you got engaged and the thing you love most about each other. Tell them about your interests, your passions, your dreams. What are your favorite colors? What is an absolute “NO WAY” for your day? The more they know, the more your wedding planner can help make your day a reflection of you as a couple.
Good communication is the cornerstone to getting things done. Would you rather your planner call, email, or text when they have a question? What times of day or evening are better for you to talk? Be sure and get back to your planner in a timely manner. Remember, they are here for you. Make yourself available.
Be A Team Player
You and your planner have a common goal. You’re planning one of the best days of your life! Work together to figure out the areas you would like to stay involved, along with the areas you could use more help. Make sure your wedding party knows that the wedding planner is there to ensure YOUR plans happen. Go Team!
Once you have decided to hire a planner, trust them to do their job. Let them find the best vendors and prices for you. Listen to and consider their advice. They will make suggestions, but ultimately the decisions are always yours.
At the venue walk through, you will be able to hand over to your wedding planner all the details that need to be set up. Enjoy this time before your wedding! Let them do the worrying for you! And the next time you start to fret, go get a mani/pedi and call your planner in the morning.
